"Lovebug" is the second offical single by the American pop-rock band the Jonas Brothers that was released from their third studio album, A Little Bit Longer, on September 30, 2008. The Jonas Brothers performed this song at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, where they had confirmed that it would be the next single. The Jonas Brothers had stated that this song was "musically different" and that it was "a bit of a risk" for them, containing a tap dancing track and featuring a mandolin. The Jonas Brothers wrote "Lovebug" during a break on Miley Cyrus's The Best of Both Worlds Tour. Stating the film Juno and the Beatles as influences for the song. When asked about the song's meaning, Nick stated that it was about falling in love again after heartbreak, with Joe adding that it was about "throwing any past inhibitions to the wind". It is currently #37 on Z100's playlist. Disney Channel had featured the world premiere of Jonas Brothers highly anticipated music video, "Lovebug," from their Platinum album, "A Little Bit Longer," on Sunday, October 19 (8:55 p.m., ET/PT). An exclusive look at the making of the video was presented throughout the evening (8:00- 9:00 p.m., ET/PT) during episodes of "Hannah Montana" and "Wizards of Waverly Place."
